Deborah

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Becoming a qualified nurse in 1988, Deborah has been working in General Practice and has been a part of the Thursby Surgery team since 1997.

Holding a RGN, Bsc (Hons) as a Specialist practitioner, Post grad in Advanced Practice, Deborah is also a Nurse Prescriber.

Outside of work, Deborah enjoys walking and spending time with her family.

Usman

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Usman joined Thursby Surgery in February 2022.

Graduating and obtaining a Masters Degree from Stafforshire University.

Outside of work, Usman enjoys nature walks and spending time with his family.

Nicola

Nurse Practitioner

• Student Nurse Mentor

Nicola joined Thursby Surgery in 2002.

A Registered General Nurse, Nicola is also a non-medical prescriber and holds a weekly Baby Immunizations Clinic.

Holding diplomas in Asthma and Coronary Heart Disease, her clinical interest include, but are not limited to; Women's Health and Family Planning.

Outside of work, Nicola enjoys walking and socializing with family and friends.

Leanne

Nurse Practitioner

Leanne has been part of Thursby Surgery since June 2017.

After qualifying as a Nurse Associate, Leanne is now a registered Nurse.

Also qualified in phlebotomy and cervical smears. Leanne also covers General health checks, chronic disease management and frialty checks.

Outside of work, Leanne likes to spend time with her husband and children, socialising with friends and keeping fit and healthy.

Sharon T

Nurse Practitioner

Sharon has been part of Thursby Surgery since August 2007.

Originally a member of the reception team, then becoming the surgery's Phlebotomist in 2009.

From 2016, Sharon has been a member of the Surgery's nurse team, completing a Foundation Degree as a Registered Nursing Associate Band 4 in January 2021 and has since qualified as a registered Nurse.

Outside of work, Sharon enjoys reading, spending time with her family and socializing with friends

Georgia

Nurse Associate

Beginning life at Thursby Surgery as an apprentice medical receptionist, Georgia gained a Level 3 diploma in Health & Social Care.

Georgia is also a qualified Phlebotomist and has now completed her Nurse Associate Degree, with the aim to become a Registered Nurse.

Outside of work, Georgia enjoys socialising with friends and family.

Hayley

Phlebotomist & General Practice Assistant

Hayley has been part of Thursby Surgery since March 2021.

Hayley joined the Surgery as a member of the reception team, since then she has expanded her role in also becoming a Phlebotomist in early 2022 and then a General Practice Assistant in November 2022

Outside of work, Hayley enjoys spending time and doing things with her family, cleaning her house and spending time with friends

Emma

Phlebotomist & General Practice Assistant

Emma has been part of Thursby Surgery since September 2020.

Emma joined the Surgery as a member of the reception team, since then she has expanded her role in also becoming a Phlebotomist in early 2022 and then a General Practice Assistant in November 2022.

Tina

Phlebotomist

• Fire Marshal

Tina started at Thursby on Reception, progressed to Senior Receptionist, and then given opportunity to train as a Phlebotomist which became her full time role 3 years ago.

Prior to Thursby Surgery, Tina worked at DWP for 20 years. 

Tina has adopted 4 children and is happily married.
