NHS 111 is a telephone service for people in the UK to call if they need medical help/advice, but are not in a life threatening situation.
"111" is an easy to remember, free-to-call number that has been rolled out cross England in order to help reduce the pressure on A&E departments as well as the "999" service.
The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Intended for an available for people who are; unsure if they need to attend A&E or Urgent Care Centres, do not have access to or are not registered with a GP, or are seeking general reassurance or medical advice.
The NHS 111 team are fully trained advisers, with contact and access to experienced nurses to assess your condition and/or direct you to the local service that can best help you, as/when you need it.
