You may receive a text message or a letter inviting you to attend for testing (PCR) assessment and advice!
We can check if you have Hepatitis C with a simple blood test, this is called a PCR test. If it is positive, we can offer you an assessment for treatment in the NHS.
This could help people unknowingly living with Hepatitis C to get a life-saving diagnosis and treatment sooner as Hepatitis C infection can lead to serious liver disease and cancer if untreated.
There are easy treatments (oral tablets) with short course of medication that can cure most people with Hepatitis C.
If you would like to talk to someone about hepatitis C, the Hepatitis C Trust runs a helpline on 0845 223 4424 or 020 7089 6221. It is open10.30am to 4.30pm Mon to Fri.
