All information regarding MMR and the vaccine was provided to all the patients who attended

A focus group and questionnaire regarding concerns about getting vaccinated were handed out to the patients - this is to understand why some people may choose not to get vaccinated

Gift bags were given to all the children who were brave enough to get vaccinated (if they were due)

Hepatitis C Testing

15/05/2024

Hepatitis C Testing

hepc

via The NHS Clinical Hepatitis C Testing Van in Thursby Surgerys Car Park

You may receive a text message or a letter inviting you to attend for testing (PCR) assessment and advice!

We can check if you have Hepatitis C with a simple blood test, this is called a PCR test. If it is positive, we can offer you an assessment for treatment in the NHS.

This could help people unknowingly living with Hepatitis C to get a life-saving diagnosis and treatment sooner as Hepatitis C infection can lead to serious liver disease and cancer if untreated.

There are easy treatments (oral tablets) with short course of medication that can cure most people with Hepatitis C.
