NHS Health Check
You may receive a text from us inviting you for an NHS Health Check.
This may be your first or an annual NHS Health Check review.
The NHS Health Check is a mid-life MOT and has the potential to add disease-free years to your life.
Once you are over 40 years of age you are invited to attend for an annual general health check. This will allow us to determine your future risk of developing chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. You may have already had one of these health checks the previous year and you may need your cholesterol and blood sugar levels rechecking.
Assessing this risk will enable the nurse to discuss with you any preventative steps you can take to help reduce the likelihood of these health problems occurring in the future.
Please call the Surgery to book an appointment with one of our Practice Nurses.
When attending please bring a sample of urine with you.
