Deaf or Hard of Hearing Patient Information
If you are a deaf patient or a patient who is hard of hearing and need to access our Services here at Thursby Surgery we offer:
- Hearing Loops in both Thursby Surgery and Daneshouse Branch
- Email address for communication - thursbysurgery@nhs.net
- Email address for ordering prescriptions - thursby.prescriptions@nhs.net
- Advance Booking for patients who require a Sign Language Interpreter (see below for further details)
BSL Interpreters
Here at the practice we can use BSL intepreters for phone calls with any of our deaf patients, using a service from CoSign.
If you need an appointment you can text CoSign on 07974 684720, who will ring the surgery, arrange the appointment and the interpreter and then they will text you with the confirmation details.
Or alternatively you can email thursbysurgery@nhs.net to arrange an appointment to coincide with your Interpreter or the Surgery can assist you with this.
