Breast Screening
Thursby Surgery's eligible ladies were called for routine breast screening in January this year.
Out of the 780 invited 617 ladies were screened and 3 were found to have early breast cancer with no symptoms.
Prevention is better than cure - if we call you for cancer screening of any form, please make the time to attend - your health should be your priority

NHS breast screening checks use X-rays to look for cancers that are too small to see or feel.
Anyone registered with a GP as female will be invited for NHS breast screening every 3 years between the ages of 50 and 71. You'll get a letter in the post inviting you.
If you have not been invited for breast screening by the time you are 53 and think you should have been, contact your local breast screening service. Find breast screening services.
See a GP if you have any symptom of breast cancer. Even if you have recently had a clear breast screening. Do not wait for your next breast screening appointment.
