Appointments

The surgery uses an appointment system. To make an appointment either call at the reception, telephone 422447 during surgery hours or use our on-line facility.

Please use one appointment for one problem but if you think you may need more time with the doctor please make sure you inform the receptionist at the time of booking.

On the Day Appointments 
If you feel you need an appointment on the same day we may ask you to leave a contact telephone number on which a member of our medical team can ring you back.  Your problem will be discussed and together we can decide the most appropriate way to deal with it.  This could be telephone advice, by offering a face to face appointment for that day or making an appointment for a later date.

Advanced Booking Facility
We offer selected appointments throughout the week for booking appointments up to four weeks in advance.  All our appointments before 8.00 a.m. and after 6.30 p.m. are available to be booked in advance (see details in 'extended hours').  Please ask the Receptionist for other days and times that may be available throughout the week.

For all appointments you will normally be able to see the doctor of your choice but if he/she is unavailable you will be offered an appointment with another partner.

All appointments for Dr Sinha who works with us every Tuesday may be booked in advance.

Extended Surgery Hours

Monday morning 7.10 a.m - 8.00 a.m            
Tuesday evening 6.30 pm - 7.30 pm

If you wish to make an appointment at these times to fit in with work and personal schedules etc please ask the Receptionist when booking your appointment.

Booking an Appointment Online

You can now book or cancel an appointment with a doctor online with the service called EMIS Access. In order to use this service you need to be a registered patient and have a registration form detailing your:

• Access Pin/ID Number
• Practice ID Number
• NHS Number.

To obtain this form you will need to come into the surgery and speak with one of our receptionists who will provide this.

If you have already done this and have your registration letter you will need to create a user account by going to the EMIS Access web site at https://www.emisaccess.co.uk  (there is a direct link to this through this website) or it can also be accessed by visiting the site of Patient.co.uk � www.patient.co.uk  

You can book appointments with the doctor on-line but if you need to see a nurse you will still need to ring or call in at the surgery to make this appointment. 

Once you have registered, you will be able to see all the appointments you have booked at the surgery (whether made on-line or not).  You may also cancel any appointment, should the need arise, without telephoning the surgery.

Patient Partner has arrived!

An automated way to book a Doctors appointment out of surgery hours and at your convenience by phone.  Using this facility you are able to book, check or cancel your appointment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  All you need to do is ensure that we have your correct telephone number on our records.

You telephone the surgery as normal and choose the option from the menu to use the Automated Booking Service.

Patient Partner will give you useful options to ensure that you get an appointment to suit your needs.  One of the main benefits of Patient Partner is that you are able to telephone the surgery at any time - even when it is closed!

You can use Patient Partner to book appointments, cancel them when necessary or simply use it to check the date and time of your appointment.

Note:  You must inform the surgery if you change your contact telephone numbers - both your home and mobile. 

Home Visits

A Doctor can have five consultations in the surgery in the time it takes to do a home visit. Please try to phone before 10.30am.

When you call to request a home visit the reception staff will initially ask you some details so that we can record the relevant information.

A doctor or nurse may telephone you before the home visit takes place to discuss your condition.

Telephone the Doctor

If you wish to speak to the doctor on the telephone please arrange this with the receptionist. We also have pre-bookable telephone consultations with the doctor available during surgery hours. Please ask for more details.
